Sunset Wood COVID-19 Update 4-29-2020

Dear Tenants,                                                          April 29, 2020

As discussed a week ago, Governor Cuomo has been working to “re-open” certain business aspects in society in order for us to get back to a certain normal. The plan remains the same for businesses to be open regionally, and in certain cases by county.

In regards to elective outpatient surgeries / treatments / procedures, New York State is allowing Oneida County to move forward with offering these services. However, I will reiterate my opinion on this matter which is that you should not set-up these types of procedures unless they are life threatening or life altering situations. If you fall into one of these categories, we recommend you contact your medical provider ASAP.

In regards to masks, I would like to provide you a guide from the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral & Community Health which outlines how to properly use a cloth face mask. In addition, this guide provides a CDC tutorial for making a face covering out of cotton square cloth (if you are up for a craft).

The Sunset Wood Team and I are extremely proud of each and every one of you for the wonderful response during all of this. Your kindness, support, and willingness to help makes it possible for all of us to continue working so hard for you.

Stay safe & healthy,

Dominick M. Manfredo

Executive Director / CEO
